How admission works
- Apply now: enter your details, verify your email with a one-time code and create a password.
- Complete the online application: personal details, academic details and documents, then submit.
- Pre-screening: the Admissions Committee checks your documents and may ask for corrections.
- Pay the application fee, then take the Selection Round (no Selection Round for lateral entry).
- Merit scholarships may be awarded after the Selection Round.
- Choose whether you need hostel accommodation, then pay the one-time admission fee.
- Download your offer letter and full fee structure from the Applicant Portal.
Common questions
What documents are required?
Class 10 & 12 marksheets (or your diploma marksheet and certificate for lateral entry), a government photo ID (Aadhaar / Passport), your PAN card, a recent passport-size photograph and your signature. PDF up to 2 MB, or a clear JPG/PNG photo up to 8 MB — photos are resized automatically.
When do I pay the application fee?
Only after the Admissions Committee has pre-screened your application and documents. You will never be asked to pay for an application that has an unresolved document issue.
What happens after I pay the application fee?
We schedule your Selection Round and the date, time and venue or meeting link appear on your dashboard. It covers problem solving, logical reasoning, curiosity and communication; the syllabus and a sample paper appear in your portal once you pass pre-screening. After the Selection Round you may be awarded a merit scholarship: a fixed amount off your total tuition, spread evenly across your semester fees.
I have a diploma — can I join B.Tech directly in the 2nd year?
Yes. Choose Lateral entry when you click Apply now: you join the B.Tech branch in the 3rd semester. You fill in your diploma details instead of Class 12 and upload your diploma marksheet and certificate. After pre-screening you pay the application fee and then the admission fee — there is no Selection Round — and finally the refundable security deposit, online or in person at the college.
Can I apply for more than one programme?
Each applicant account holds one application per admission cycle. Contact admission@saet.in if you need to change your programme.
Is hostel accommodation available?
Yes. Just before paying the admission fee you tell us whether you need hostel accommodation. Room allotment and hostel fees are then confirmed by the college.
